[20a-145-6] Air-Stable Polymeric Ionic Liquid Carrier Injection Layer-Based Organic Light-Emitting Devices
Keywords:polymeric ionic liquid, air-stable, carrier injection layer
In order to realize high performance and highly stable organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs), it is essential to utilize hole and electron injection layers. In this work, we report the development of an air-stable hydrophobic polymeric ionic liquid-based carrier injection material Poly(DDA)TFSI behaving both as hole and electron injection layers. We applied it to the hole injection layer (HIL) and the electron injection layer (EIL) in yellow-fluorescent polymer-based OLEDs. The device with Poly(DDA)TFSI HIL showed lower driving voltage than that with conventional PEDOT:PSS HIL. On the other hand, the device with Poly(DDA)TFSI EIL showed lower driving voltage and higher external quantum efficiency than that with conventional LiF EIL. The achieved EQE was 9.0 % and this value was one of the highest efficiencies as compared to the reported standard PLEDs.
