Keywords:Residual stress

A study on generation of the thick stress field using the interference of the shock wave. A shock wave to occur by a ring-formed laser light focusing shape causes a Mach reflection and propagates to the deep inside of metal materials and forms compressive residual stress field to depth of around 3mm. We report it including the measurement method.
