[20a-311-12] Charge / Discharge Characteristics of Lithium-Ion Secondary Battery Using Graphene / Silicon Composites Synthesized by Simple Fabrication for Anode Materials

Previously we developed a novel and simple method to prepare graphene / silica composites from graphene oxide / silica composites synthesized by sol-gel reaction of graphene oxide aqueous dispersion and tetraethyl orthosilicate. In this study, we heve modified this method and the graphene oxide / silica composites were heated in the presence of magnesium. Spectroscopic analysis of the resulting composites revealed that not only graphene oxide but also silica were reduced and graphene / silicon composites were obtained. A lithium ion battery using the composite as the anode material was fabricated and its charge / discharge characteristics were investigated.
