For fuel cell application, durability of carbon materials for catalysts support and cost of catalysts are the main problems. For catalysts support, we focused on carbon nanowalls (CNWs) and found that CNWs exhibit higher durability than carbon black, which is typically used for fuel cell electrode. Though, degradation mechanism, resistive elements, and polarization characteristics of Pt/CNWs are not elucidated. In this research, we applied impedance analysis method during degradation test and elucidated change in resistive elements during degradation test.
