[20a-PB2-1] 1μm Dispersion-tuned Wavelength-swept Fiber Laser with Broad Tuning Range

Dispersion-tuned fiber laser is a wide and fast wavelength-tunable mode-locked fiber laser that could break the limitation of maximum tuning speed faced by direct tuning methods. In this study we propose a 1 µm wavelength-swept fiber laser based on dispersion-tuning using a quantum dots SOA, achieving a tuning range of 66 nm, while, to our best knowledge, the best outcome before was 30 nm. This study may be applied in Lidar or retinal SS-OCT to improve its axial resolution.
