In late years, Time of Flight is a major method in the distance measurement using terahertz (THz) wave. However, this method has problem that an experimental setup becomes large and it is difficult to measure the distance when the distance is unclear. In this study, we develop a frequency shift THz wave with a frequency shifted feedback laser (FSF laser) in order to improve these demerit and intended to realize the detection using a schottky barrier diode (SBD). And we propose a novel measurement method using beat signal generated by an autocorrelated. We confirmed frequency shift THz wave generation using a uni traveling carrier photodiode (UTC-PD) by mixing FSF laser and external cavity laser diode (ECLD) outputs and succeed the frequency shift THz wave detection using a SBD. And we suceeded distance measurement by using this wave source.
