A strong terahertz radiation from a configuration composed of a metallic slit array with a dielectric substrate was analyzed theoretically. The radiation is different from the Smith-Purcell radiation, and it is induced by the resonance of the radiative electromagnetic mode with an incident electron beam. We are performing an experiment to examine the theoretical prediction.
