The characteristics and attributes of glass substrate for LCDs and OLEDs are briefly explained. Especially, required attributes of glass substrate for LTPS TFTs and IGZO TFTs are focused. Optical Guide plate for LCD, ultra-thin glass for flexible display and chemi-tempered glass for smartphone are introduced as new application. Finally, required attributes of glass substrate for new FPSs is discussed as future perspective.
