[20p-224B-4] Caculation and evaluation of response function of CeBr3 scinsillation detector

Masao Matsumoto1, Keisuke Fukatsu1 (1.Osaka Univ.)

Keywords:CeBr3 scintillation detector, Monte Carlo simulation, response function

A response function for using the newly developed CeBr3 scintillation detector for dose measurement was derived using Monte Carlo simulation and the response function was measured according to the pulse wave height spectrum measured and the dose was obtained and compared with the measured value and evaluated . As a result, we could calculate the response function of the CeBr3 scintillation detector and derive the dose. The measured value and the calculated value of the dose using the NaI scintillation detector were compared and evaluated. In the case of using a 137 Cs source, the calculated value and the measured value were in good agreement (7.9%), but in the case of a 152 Eu source having many peaks from low energy to high energy, the error was large (29.3%) . It is necessary to investigate the variation of the accuracy of the response function by the radiation source in the future.
