The electron affinities (EA) of a representative acceptor, perylene pigment PTCDI derivative of organic solar cell, were measured by low energy inverse photoemission spectroscopy. Since it is known that EA changes with the molecular orientations in recent research, orientations are controlled by changing the substrate and molecular orientations are revealed by grazing incidence X - ray diffraction. Although the EA of the PTCDI derivatives depend on the side chain and molecular orientations, those of the PTCDI derivatives was about 3.8 to 4.1 eV.
