[20p-231C-9] Giant Seebeck Effect in Organic Solids - Another Limit of “Quantum Liberated Electrons” -
Keywords:giant seebeck effect, organic semiconductor, electron-phonon interaction
As one of the electronic functions of organic semiconductors that have not been yet utilized, the giant Seebec effect which was discovered by our group is discussed. This is a unique phenomenon which cannot be elucidated by conventional thermoelectric theories and the Seebeck coefficent eceeds 0.1 V/K. In organic semiconductors, not only a charge but also a lattice vibration tends to be confined in a molecule. The interaction between them is considered to produce the characteristic thermoelectric effext in a specific condition.
