[20p-PA2-18] Photorespose behavior of LCs with red fluorescent dyes
Keywords:liquid crystal, photoalignment, fluorescent dye
Liquid-crystalline (LC) system doped with dye molecules exhibits significantly enhanced photoinduced reorientaition behavior compared to undoped LC system. However the effect of molecules structure of the dye on the photoinduced reorientationn and details of the reorientational mechanism are not clarified.
Recently, we reported that green and orange fluorescent dyes act as triggers for photoinduced reorientational of nematic LCs to reduce photothermal effect during photoirradiation at high-light intensity. In this study, we explored photoresponsive behavior of LCs containing 6-cyano-9-(diethylamino)-5H-benzo[a]phenoxazin-5-one to create photoalignment systems with sensitivity in the long-wavelength region.
