The control of neurons on substrates is essential to establish neuronal network to fabricate neuronal devices and/or to understand neuronal signaling mechanisms. To establish neuronal network, it is necessary to build synaptic connection besides the control of neurites elongation, however, the mechanisms of synaptic connection have been unclear. In this study, we examined the effect of synapse adhesion molecules onto neurons as a first trial to obtain the basic knowledge on the mechanisms of the synapse formation.
