Keywords:Atmospheric pressure plasmas, Ions, Mass spectrometry

Ionic species generated by atmospheric pressure argon plasmas were investigated using an atmospheric pressure ionization mass spectrometry (API-MS). The results showed that the negative ion compositions between inside and outside of the argon plasma jets differ significantly and that the most of the negative ions originated from NOx were present outside of the plasma jets.
