Organic thin-film solar cells have attracted attention because of low manufacturing cost, but the greatest disadvantage is that deterioration easily occurs due to light or heat, and the conversion efficiency is very low. Femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy was used as a method for evaluating deterioration. Femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy is useful for evaluating the fast relaxation process of carriers generated by photoexcitation in semiconductors, and it is possible to selectively observe only the power generation layer. Relaxation process of carrier before and after ultraviolet light degradation of organic thin film solar cell device was compared.
