[20p-PB5-50] Thermal activation of RPL in BABF glasses and glass-ceramics

It is known that Eu-doped BaAlBO₃F₂ glass-ceramics have RPL properties, due to a intra-valence conversion of Eu³⁺ to Eu²⁺ induced by irradiation. In this study, we have confirmed that an additional luminescence centre is generated by a post-irradiation heat-treatment around 300^oC. The luminescence lifetime is about 5 ns; therefore, we think that the emission origin is related to defect centres.
