[21a-143-5] Control of photoluminescence enhancement and quenching in layered structures of semiconductor quantum dots and metal nanoparticles II

In order to investigate the interaction between semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) and metal nanoparticles (NPs), we fabricated bilayer structures of CdSe QDs and Au NPs by a layer-by-layer method. By varying in-plane density of Au NPs (σAu), the photoluminescence (PL) intensity of CdSe QDs was changed greatly. We quantitatively discuss the σAu-dependence of both of PL enhancement due to localized surface plasmon and PL quenching due to energy transfer from CdSe QDs to Au NPs.
