▼ [21a-211A-1] Increasing the degrees of orientation of state-selected OCS molecules with relative-delay-adjusted nonresonant two-color laser fields
Keywords:alignment, orientation, polarizability, hyperpolarizability
We have observed increased degrees of orientation (<cosq> ~ 0.3) for linear asymmetric molecules such as carbonyl sulfide (OCS). A relative-delay-adjusted two-color nonresonant laser field is used to orient the OCS molecules.
