[21a-231C-10] Conduction mechanism close to the metal insulator transition of conducting polymers doped by electrolyte gating
Keywords:conducting polymer, metal insulator transition, electrolyte gating
Conduction mechanism of heavily-doped conducting polymer pBTTT is studied by magnetoresistance measurements under ion-gel gating. At highest doping rate, metallic conductivity was observed down to 95 K, and confirmed by magnetoresistance. At the variable-range hopping (VRH) side of the metal-insulator transition, mixture of negative (coherent conduction) and positive (hopping conduction) magnetoresistances was observed. The mixing of the two conduction mechanisms may be the origin of apparent exponent changes of VRH conduction often reported.
