We have been performed middle-infrared ATR measurement of earlobes for noninvasive measurement of blood glucose. Mid-infrared light from FT-IR is introduced into an ATR prism by using a hollow optical fiber and measurement is performed by pressing an earlobe against the prism. We found that an absorption peak of glucose at 1150 cm-1 which showed high correlation with blood glucose level in measurement of human lips was not clear. However, the peak sharpened and separated from the other peaks by obtaining second derivative of the absorption spectra. We found that the change of the peak intensity at 1150cm-1 has a good correlation with blood glucose level.
