[21a-235-6] Development of soft X-ray microscope, CXRM, in the water window using LPP light source

We developped an LPP light source that emits the soft X-ray (SX) light in the water window wavelength region (2.4 nm - 4.4 nm) using a Bi target, and an SX optics that matches the emission wavelength of the LPP light source. Using these light source and SX optics, a contact-type microscope was constructed that simultaneous observation with visible- and SX- lights is capable by changing the light sources. By the use of the developed microscope, an SX image of HeLa S3 cells was observed. Membrane structures, perinuclear structures, and cell nucleus were observed in the image.
