Halide single crystals of chloride, bromide and iodide are known to exhibit a high light emission and high energy resolution due to its narrow band gap.However,halide materials are typically having high hygroscopicity, and there are few studies in new halide material systems except for crystal development of material which phase diiagrams are reported.
Therefore,in this study,we prepare the phase diagrams of BaI2 and LuI3 without previous report,and study the possibility of scintillator single crystals growth in BaI2-LuI3 system.
