Optical absorption of InSb at the wavelength of 405nm increases because of the melting, whereas the of Sb2Te3 decreases. To analyze the super-resolution readout mechanism of an optical disc with the active layer of InSb or Sb2Te3, we have performed a multi-physics simulation of the light propagation and heat conduction in the optical disc. The calculated results show that the molten region in the active layer is shifted in the direction of the disc rotation, and this shift effectively contributes the super-resolution mechanism. It is also found that the shape of the response function depends on the difference of the super-resolution mechanism between InSb and Sb2Te3.
