[21a-PA1-9] Stabilization of updatable hologram using copolymerized azo-carbazole films and elucidation of its mechanism

Stability of the recorded hologram image in films dispersed azo-carbazole dyes is the serious issue for updatable holograms. In this study, we synthesized a copolymerized azo-carbazole and attempted to stabilize a recorded hologram image in copolymerized azo-carbazole films. In addition, we also attempted to elucidate its mechanism by measuring the azo-carbazole molecule’s migration induced by irradiation using laser Raman spectrometry, and calculating the diffusion coefficient from the decay time of the external diffraction efficiency.
