[21a-PA2-1] Structure analysis of PTCDA thin film on mica substrates

Orientation control of organic thin films is extremely important factor in the device fabrication process. Vacuum evaporation method using epitaxy is an effective method of controlling orientation utilizing the interaction between substrate and organic molecule. However, it has not been elucidated the mechanism of the epitaxial growth of organic thin film. This presentation, for elucidating the mechanism of epitaxial growth of organic semiconductor thin film, PTCDA thin film was deposited on mica substrates by vacuum deposition. In addition, the thin film structures of PTCDA were investigated by x-ray diffraction methods.
