Polydiacetylene (PDA) crystal, classified as a p-conjugated polymer crystal, can be fabricated by topochemical solid-state polymerization of the corresponding diacetylene (DA) monomer crystal. Especially, PDA nanocrystals (NCs) aqueous dispersion exhibits bright visible absorption with low light scattering loss, which is expected to be one of the promising materials for low-cost and visible-light-driven photocatalyst. In the present work, we successfully demonstrated the potential of an organic semiconductor NCs as an effective photocatalyst.
