We have started to measure the outdoor performance of various shape and type PV modules assuming their use on highways and so on. Even on a fine day, the scattered component of solar irradiance was as high as 40 % in average. The output power of the cylindrically arranged vertical amorphous silicon PV modules was 4 times or larger than the estimation from the measured direct irradiance around noon when the sun altitude was high.
