[21p-141-1] Exploring function and property of organic materials by photoelectron spectroscopy

Keywords:electronic state, vibronic coupling, electron-phonon coupling

Deep insight into important characters of functions and electronic properties for condensed molecular solids and their interfaces related has been achieved by using ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS). Careful analyses of the UPS spectra, namely in band position, band shape and band intensity, measured for well-defined organic films (single crystals) can offer crucial information that has not been obtained from usual UPS studies. We introduce recent findings of the electronic structure of molecular materials obtained by means of advnced UPS measurement.
