[21p-232-18] Superconducting Boron-doped Diamond Josephson Junction Capable of Operating above Liquid Helium Temperature

Superconducting boron-doped diamond has high tolerance to acid and abrasion, so it is suitable material for robust SQUID. We have fabricated Josephson junction, which is an important element of SQUID, by step-edge structure and demonstrated its operation at 3.5K. In this research, in order to improve operating temperature, we fabricated Josephson junction composed of only (111) diamond layer, and achieved the operation above liquid helium temperature (4.2K).
