[21p-234A-11] Probing drug response of cancer cells in whole blood with label-free bright-field images
Keywords:whole blood, flow cytometry, high-speed imaging
We demonstrate that the drug response of cancer cells can be investigated without chemical labels by using bright field images acquired with an optofluidic time-stretch (OTS) microscope. Our OTS microscope can image cells flowing at >10 m/s with a throughput of >1 million cells/s, while maintaining a high spatial resolution of 780 nm. Using the OTS microscope to probe drug responses in whole blood has great promise in clinical applications, such as predicting drug efficacy for individual patients.
