[21p-438-12] Thermal efficiency of battery-type thermocell fabricated with Prussian blue analogues

We investigated the thermal efficiency of a sodium-ion secondary battery type thermocell against the various temperature difference (ΔT) between low temperature (TL = 282 K) and high temperature (TH = 292 - 338 K). This thermocell consists of two kinds of Prussian blue analogues, which are NaxMn[Fe(CN)6]0.833.5H2O and NaxCo[Fe(CN)6]0.92.9H2O, with the difference in the thermal coefficient (= dV/dT). In heat cycle between 282 K and 322 K, the thermal efficiency of the device was evaluated 1.5 %.This value reaches 13 % of the Carnot efficiency (12 %).
