[17a-C303-2] Influences of Zeta potentials of CNT micelle for the Extraction Efficiency of Semiconducting SWCNT using “Electric-field inducing Layer Formation” method
Keywords:Carbon Nanotube, semiconducting/metallic separation, Printed Electronics
We demonstrated that the purity of the semiconducting component extracted from single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) suspension can be improved by controlling Zeta potentials in the advanced separation method called "Electric-field inducing Layer Formation (ELF)". It was clearly found that the separation behavior in the ELF method strongly depends on the Zeta potential of the SWCNT suspension. The highest purity of separated semiconducting SWCNTs was achieved in the treated SWCNTs, which had a Zeta potential of about -10 mV. This highly-purified semiconducting SWCNTs were used for the demonstration of the thin-film transistor fabricated via the all-printing process on plastic substrates. This extraction method enables the expansion of SWCNTs application to printed electronics.
