Valenc band can be studied by photoelctron spectrscopy, but the conduction band which is a path of electrons, is very difficult to observe.
In a study fof powder catalysts with EUPS , spectral shape of secondary electronshowed in good corerelation with catalytic performance. We concluded that electrn affinity is plaing a role from theoreticl considerations.considerations
