Our group has significant interests to p-type chalcogenide compounds for their potential applications as photocathode materials for photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting using sunlight energy. In this presentation, I would like to introduce our recent results on PEC water splitting using chalcopyrite (CuInS2) and Kesterite (Cu2ZnSnS4) thin films.
