Low temperature dry methane reforming (CH4 + CO2 → 2H2 + 2CO) in nonequilibrium plasma and porous catalyst (Ni/Al2O3) hybridized reaction was investigated. Plasma generation in the micropores is hard to occur therefore the effect of plasma is limited at the external surface of porous pellets. We distinguished reactions between on the external surface and micropores, revealing a plasma-induced unique catalyst oxidation/reduction path to achieve significant reaction enhancement.
