Recently, we developed a method for fabricating sub-1 nm gap Au electrodes with controlling gapsize. In order to confirm the gapsize controls, we observed IV curves of 1,4- benzenedithiol (BDT) molecules between fabricated Au electrodes. These results indicate that the bridged BDT structure can be controlled by employing prefabricated nanogap electrodes formed at various process voltages.
