CdTe quantum dot (QD) monolayer and multilayer samples were prepared by layer-by-layer method. The results of the X-ray diffraction measurements show that monolayer has two-dimensional periodicity and multilayer has three-dimensional periodicity. In periodically ordered array structures of QDs, resonance interactions occur between adjacent QDs. We report on the results of studying resonance interaction between QDs from optical spectra of the samples with systematically controlled QD size and inter-QD distance.
