Recent studies have shown that conductivity of electron-donating materials is more enhanced in blend films rather than in neat films. However, little is known about the origin of the enhancement. In order to address the origin of the enhanced conductivity, we have studied the local conductivity of a donor conjugated polymer PTQ1 blended with an insulating polymer PSt . As a result, we found that the hole conductivity is lower in the neat film than in the blend films and that excimer-like emission is more clearly observed for neat films than for the blend films.
