The control of carrier trapping is important for photorefractive polymers. We focus on hole transporting triarylamine oligomer-insulating polymer blends and investigated the effect of the average molecular weight of the oligomer on carrier trapping. We found that carrier trapping was strengthened in the one with lowered oligomeric average molecular weight. In addition, photoconductivity related basic properties were evaluated on the polymer blend by the transient photocurrent measurement, time-of-flight measurement, and photoemission yield spectroscopy in air.
