[17p-P6-32] Mueller Polarimetry Analysis of Orientation Properties in Liquid Crystal Polymer Films

Keywords:liquid crystal, Mueller polarimetry

The Mueller polarimetry was introduced to discuss orientation properties in liquid crystal polymer films. It was found that the circular retardance, which contributes to the optical rotation, is almost zero. This indicates that the orientation direction of the liquid crystal layer agrees with that of the alignment layer and highly uniaxially oriented states are generated both in the liquid crystal and alignment layers.
