For printed electronics, fabrication of solution-processed organic semiconducting devices with high reliability is one of challenges. To overcome this issue, realization of directionally-controlled organic semiconducting single crystals for smooth carrier transport is key technology because organic semiconductor has anisotropic mobility. In this study, we investigated directional control of single crystalline C8BTBT using solution-coated liquid crystal solution and photoalignment method and transistor characteristics.
