[18a-A402-9] Strain-field control of plasmon resonances for stress sensing

Hiroaki Matsui1, Hitoshi Tabata1 (1.The Univ of Tokyo)

Keywords:oxide semiconductor, surface plasmons, stress sensing

Recently, it had been requested to realize sensing techniques with high spatial resolutions in order to detect stresses generated in sample surfaces. In this work, we focus on strain control of surface plasmon excitations, and investigate relationship between surface plasmons and structural deformations of nanoparticle alignments. This presentation reports correlation between optical changes in surface plasmons and mechanical strains. This study contributes to developments of new structural diagnosis based on plasmonics.
