Carbon fibers prodeuced in the high temperature furnace of Deakin University in Australia were mass analyzed by the scanning atom probe of Kanaswa Institute of Technology. Three types of fibers were supplied, carbon fibers straight out of the high temperature furnace, carbon fibeers with oxygen layers on surface, and fibers covered by a thin layer of epoxy. Binding between carbon atoms of these fibers are investigted..
