Bi-based high-temperature superconducting whisker natively has very high Jc due to their strong pinning center caused by replacement of Sr site by Ca ion. However, the larger a replacement amount of Sr by Ca becomes, the smaller a size of whisker becomes. Therefore, it prevents Bi-based high-temperature superconducting whisker from being used in wider application field.
We focused on density increasing of alumina catalyst in the base material. Moreover, we try growth of large that Bi-based high-temperature superconducting whisker of high replacement amount of Sr by Ca.
