[18p-F104-4] Search of Majorana Fermions in hybrid systems of semiconductor nanowires/superconductors

Sadashige Matsuo1 (1.Univ. of Tokyo)

Keywords:nanowire, superconductivity

According to recent theoretical predictions, Majorana Fermions whose antiparticles are equivalent to themselves can be realized on junctions of semiconductor nanowires and superconductors and some experimental studies reported the signatures using a single nanowire with superconductors. We focus on a theoretical prediction that Majorana Fermions can emerge when more than 100 % efficiency of Cooper pair splitting in junctions of superconductors and double nanowires occurs. We succeeded in fabrication of such hybrid systems of Al and double InAs nanowires and we demonstrated the more than 100 % of Cooper pair splitting in the hybrid systems. This means that the essential condition for realization of Majorana Fermions in the junctions of double nanowires and superconductors is achieved.
