The powders of poor conductivity are highly charged during handling in industrial processes. This paper reports on electrostatic characteristics of amino acid powder. The test carried out apparent volume resistivity, charge to mass, and minimum ignition energy of sample powder. As a result, sample powders used in this study were classified as high electrostatic charge materials, and so sensitive that even a spark with an energy as low as 10 mJ could ignite them.
