[18p-P15-11] Coherent Phonon Spectroscopy of Ag/Bi Bilayers

Spin-orbit interactions in electronic systems without inversion symmetry, for instance, at surfaces and interfaces, cause spin-splitting (Rashba effects). In particular, Bi and Ag interfaces show a giant Rashba effect. We investigated here phonons of Bi in Bi/Ag bilayers. Coherent and incoherent phonons were observed by pump-probe reflectivity measurements using a femtosecond laser and micro Raman spectroscopy, respectively.
