The organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cell utilizing a hybrid semiconductor composed of organic cation and a lead halide as a light absorber has exhibited a high conversion efficiency, which is comparable to silicon-based conventional solar cells. Furthermore the film creation based on the coating process has attracted large attention in order to lower the cost of device fabrication. To achieve higher efficiency and durability, we propose the precise material design of perovskite layer / electron transport layer interface to improve the electron transfer properties by considering the contacted facet of crystals. In this research, we focus on the (001) face of anatase titania potentially improving the electron injection at this interface. By using platelet titania nanoparticles exposing (001) facet, we create a compact thin film of titania scaffold for the electron transport layer at the interface. The materials characteristics and solar cell device properties are discussed for achieving higher conversion efficiency.
