By coating an Au thin film on triangular latticed InGaN/GaN nanocolumns (nanowires), we achieved PL emission enhancement due to surface plasmon coupling. Several new PL peaks originated from the plasmonic structures appeared. PL enhancement ratio had the dependences of detection angle and photon energy. It was found that PL enhancement was significant in the condition of correspondence with the photonic and plasmonic band structures.
