[19a-B303-8] Frequency Enhancement of Air-coupled Ultrasonic Probe Using Piezoelectric Element Rods Array

A waveform and the frequency in air-coupled ultrasonic probe using piezoelectric rods array (PRA) might be controlled by a dicing kerf width, but the method for the frequency enhancement was a problem. This presentation reports an investigation of the effect of the frequency of starting piezoelectric element. As a result, PRA made of higher-frequency element tended to become clear the pulse of the wavefront as well as increased the frequency.
